We Love Pets (and so does Westport )
-
In 2004, Westport was designated by the Connecticut Coastal Commission as the most dog friendly of the 17 communities in their study. Westport earned a Dog-Friendly Quotient of 8, beating out 2nd place Stamford, which scored a 6. Most of Westport's 35 parks allow dogs off-leash, except for athletic fields, golf courses, Baron's South, Longshore and the area where Allen's Clam House once stood. Winslow Park has 17 acres set aside for dogs off-leash and an additional 11 acres for on-leash dogs. In addition, dogs have off-leash privileges on both beaches in Westport from Oct. 1 through April 1.

We understand that your furry friend is much more than a pet. They are a member of your family! And the last thing you want to do is leave them behind when you take your next getaway. Not only do we welcome your pets at our hotel, we are dedicated to helping make sure they have as wonderful a time on their trip as you will on yours!
For Dogs & Cats: Our Outward Bound Pet Travel Kit (a $90 value) provides everything your pet needs for a special getaway. It is a unique amenity just for dogs & cats lucky enough to travel. The entire kit is included in our hotel's pet fee of $49 per stay.
We have brochures at the front desk that will provide valuable information about local veterinarians, groomers and pet supply stores. Winslow Park (mentioned above) is only 2 miles away, right down the Post Road. |
